Hi,

I am building an application in which the bot should be able to RDP into a remote window server and process some files.

I am able to perform remote login using "Start App" component but whatever action I perform after login, are performed on my local system. How can i make them happen on the remote system?

Hi Hiren,

Hope you're using "Actions (UI)" components in Toolbox to perform actions on remote system. If yes, please ensure the images you captured in remote server doesn't match with your local system. And also make sure Intellibot Studio is minimized if you're running from Studio.

Please feel free to revert for any further queries\clarifications.

Thank you for the response.

How can I open a file or a URL in the browser during the RDP? Every time I try to do it, it opens one on my local machine

Hi Hiren,

Looks like you're using StartApp component to open browser in RDP but that component opens browser in local system only. You need to use UI action components for each action like identifying the browser icon on remote desktop and enter URL by passing SendKeys. It should basically mimic the actions how we do manually in RDP.

Thanks & Regards,

Can I use IE Connector inside the RDP session? Or is it just the ACTIONS that are compatible with RDP mode

support@intellibot.io posted this 3 weeks ago

Hi Hiren,

Any connector (IE/Windows/Chrome) will work on a machine (Ex: M1) where Intellibot Studio/Robot is running, but if you're connecting to a machine (Ex: M2) via RDP from M1 then you might need to use Actions (UI) components. Hope this helps!!
